چکیده

Background: The knee is the largest synovial joint in body with extra and intra articular ligaments which act as supporting structures around joint. of are more commonly injured. An accurate early diagnosis internal derangement necessary for planning treatment. In this study we compare findings magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) arthroscopy evaluate accuracy MRI diagnosing intra-ligament injuries knee. Methods: It a prospective conducted department orthopaedics, Raja Rajeswari medical college hospital, Bangalore from July 2018 to May 2021. Selection criteria include 80 patients who presented history ligamentous injury was obtained selected cases were posted arthroscopic surgery after obtaining informed consent. Arthroscopy correlated statistical data analysis prepared obtain MRI. Results: prepared. ACL tear 100% sensitivity 95% accuracy, PCL shows 97% medial meniscus tears 96.15% 95%, lateral 95.83% 97.50% Conclusions: our has capable detecting anterior horn tears, multiple underneath that may be overlooked arthroscopy. However, appropriate sequences, analysed different planes, newer techniques, powerful tomograms will improve diagnostic reduce errors.

Evaluation of Role of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Knee Joint Injuries in Correlation with Arthroscopy

Introduction: Internal derangement of knee is common after injury. In acute stage, clinical examination of painful knee may be difficult and frequently the imaging studies are required to assess the injuries of the menisci, cartilage ligaments or bone. Materials and methods: A prospective study was conducted at the department of orthopedic. A total of 50 patients (50 knees) were examined, 42 pa...
